Joel is a licensed architect and principal at Joel Bartlett Architect Inc. Joel established the firm of JBAI in 2016. Joel has extensive experience working on various building types, including commercial, community, residential, and heritage. Joel manages all projects, from conceptual design through to obtaining permits/approvals, and construction/contract administration. JBAI achieves design excellence by meeting the needs of our clients through a holistic design approach.
As a LEED Accredited Professional and Passive House expert, Joel can assist clients who’s objectives include a sustainable design approach or meeting certification standards such as LEED, Net Zero, or Passive House.
Joel has extensive experience working with historically significant and designated structures as well. This expertise provides benefits for renovation projects, where creative, sensitive solutions are required to address building code regulations such as life safety, fire safety, and accessibility.
