Taking advantage of the beautiful sunsets along Lake Huron, we brought a whimsical design approach to this new 2 storey cottage, designed with numerous sustainable features and a passive house design approach.

Nestled under the existing entrance portico of the hospice, a new double height foyer was introduced to improve comfortable and barrie free access to the hospice. Other renovations included upgrades in the design and functions of the nursing station. Joel Bartlett was also the project architect under a separate certificate of practice for the design and construction of the 10 bed residential hospice design.
Expansion to an existing emergency shelter for an additional 16 beds.
Designed for a retired couple, the cottage design takes advantage of the views to Belwood Lake, including a large exterior patio facing the water.
Second storey addition to an existing one storey stone cottage bungalow. The second floor areas include bedrooms and bathroom, overlooking the main floor living spaces, and provided access to a new rooftop patio.
